Dossier: Abducciones
Roberto BANCHSLo componente psíquica en los relatos fabulosos8-11
Abstract: Author exposes some points of view according to the role that play psychic components in fabolous tales, as UFO abduction stories and similar ones. Author also analyses some characteristics of sociopsychological character of UFO stories in Argentina. In order to do that, author points that there are three levels to understand UFO phenomena and related stories: as an interpretation, a creation or a recreation
Roberto BANCHSAbducciones: La experiencia traumática y el camino regresivo12-15
Abstract: Author explores the possibilities that offers the psychoanalitical theory of trauma of birth developed by Otto Rank in order to explain UFO abductions stories. According to author's opinion, the abduction stories include many data that can be interpreted as an intempt to solve or to elaborate a phantasy related to trauma of birth. The hypnosis and similar techniques would permitt the subject to elaborate a phantasy in which to solve traumatic problema.
Roberto BANCHSIngeniero White: Un caso de fantasía perinatal16-25
Abstract: Author analyses an UFO abduction story occurred in Argentina in 1975. The witness, Carlos A. Díaz affirmed that he was abducted by an UFO in which there were three amorfous aliens. The witness appeared in another city the next day. All data indicate the case was an hoax, but the important for the author is to determine the unconcious origin of the story which is interpreted as a phantasy of trauma of birth.
Martin S. KOTTMEYERAlienígenos con cuello de lápiz26-28
(Translated by Héctor ESCOBAR)
Abstract: Author analyses the modern UFO abduction stories in which appear beings with "pencilnecks”. These beings are pretty new in UFO world. In author's opinion they are social by-products of movies as Close Encounters, in which it appears an alien with these characteristics. The story of this alien shows that it's only the product of the imagination of a special effects engineer.
Martin S. KOTTMEYERLa amenaza "mucosa" de los alienígenos29-31
(Translated by Héctor ESCOBAR)
Abstract: Author analyses the idea of nasal implants in UFO abduction stories and their relation with "implants" and similar methods for controlling human beings that appeared in popular Science Fiction stories and TV programs, mainly in 50's an 60's, but also nowaday
Martin S. KOTTMEYEREsos ojos que hablan...32-34
(From: The REALL News Vol 02 No 07 /1994 The Eyes That Spoke Translated by Luis RUIZ NOGUEZ)
Abstract: Author analyses the modern claims that extraterrestrials have great blak eyes, a fact that comes from Hill's abduction story. In author's opinion, these characteristics come from an old TV show (The outer limit) in which there appeared an extraterrestrial with these physical characteristics, that influenced Hill’s story and from then to nowit became constant in UFO abductions stories.

Kevin McCLUREBogeymen
This article is a pretty angry assessment of the potential damage arising from what I regard as the myth of alien abduction. In it I quote substantially from the published works of four named researchers, including interviews with two of them. These four are David Jacobs, Budd Hopkins, John Mack and Jenny Randles, probably the most influential writers and researchers in the field at present. It is because of their importance that I have chosen to quote from their work, but there are plenty of others to whom my comments could be addressed
